One key thing about me is that I love Christmas. Obsessed could almost come into wordplay here, honestly. I was reading one of my favorite blogs, and saw this tag as part of her blogmas, and loved the questions! Be sure to go read my friend Katelyn from Katelynblogs.com’s post, and be sure to check out the rest of her blogmas posts as well!
What is your favorite Christmas film?
I really love Christmas with the Kranks! It just completely reminds me of my family, and it is something that we all sit around and watch together. Sometimes even random times throughout the year. Something about that movie just gives me the most incredible Christmas feeling.
Have you ever had a white Christmas?
I have once. I live in Tennessee, so we don’t get too much snow, but there are those rare times that we do. It definitely wasn’t enough to do anything with, but it was still pretty magical. I also love snow, so it was like a gift from the universe too!
Where do you usually spend your holiday?
I spend Christmas Eve at my grandparent’s home, and then spend Christmas morning there too. I go to my parent’s house on Christmas evening to spend time with my step dad’s family.
What is your favorite Christmas song?
Alright, I am sort of ashamed to admit this. I have been in love with the Ariana Grande “Santa Tell me”. It is pretty much a song I listen to all the time. It just makes me so happy to listen to it, and really gives me the energy that I look for this time of year, haha.
Do you open any presents on Christmas Eve?
We do! For people who are not going to be there on Christmas morning, we exchange gifts with those people. A lot of times my family will get gifts for someone that we all can use. Like movies, or in my cousins case, video games, haha.
Can you name all of Santa’s Reindeer?
Oh shoot, um, maybe. Dancer, Dasher, Donner, Blitzen, Comit, Cupid, Rudolph? I think there are seven? haha
What holiday traditions are you looking forward to most this year?
I love going to my parent’s house. We all sit around and read books and then have trivia based off of that. I am a huge fan of games, pretty much any game. It is rare that all of the kids actually get to be together since we all have different schedules, and it is just something I look forward to every year.
Is your Christmas tree real or fake?
Okay, don’t shoot me! It is fake, but my tree that I put up at my parent’s house during Thanksgiving was real, but it was the largest tree in history. Needless to say, I won’t be winning the family decor competition with that tree this year…
What is your all-time favorite holiday food/sweet treat?
Your girl loves mulled wine. I actually got to go see the Enchanted Garden of Lights last night with my friend and I was able to get some wine while I walked through the lights. It just smells like the most festive thing, and it literally tastes like Christmas. My grandmother also makes these amazing sausage balls every year, and the smell fills up the whole house, and it is the best thing to wake up to.
Be honest: Do you like giving gifts or receiving gifts better?
I love getting gifts, who doesn’t?! I do love to give gifts though, going and picking out gifts for my friends and family makes me really happy, and I absolutely love gift wrap!
What is the best Christmas gift you’ve ever received?
I really don’t know. I would have to say probably my first iPhone was a really awesome time in my life, haha. I am sure there are better gifts, but I really can’t remember them.
What would be your dream place to visit for the holiday season?
I follow and watch a ton of UK based bloggers, and I would love to visit London. I love it on a normal day, and I can only imagine what it looks like in person. I am pretty much obsessed with Christmas lights, and they seem to have a ton. Plus, bring me all of the Christmas markets!
Are you a pro-present wrapper, or do you fail miserably?
Funny story, my mother actually complimented on my wrapping skills the other day! I use to be absolutely tragic! I also just really love gift wrap, and going to the wrapping section of any store this time of year. Something about a gift tag….
Most memorable holiday moment?
I think that would be just sitting down at my grandparent’s house and having everyone I love around me and just watching Christmas movies and being able to catch up. I just love the nostalgic feeling I get this time of year.
What made you realize the truth about Santa?
I don’t know if I ever believed in him? I do have this memory of me sneaking out of my room to go count and make sure that I had more gifts than anyone else, and seeing my family in the back of the cars outside pulling out gifts. Now, we have santa presents out under the tree on Christmas eve since we are all older. If my younger cousins still believe in him….well…sorry? haha
Do you make New Year’s resolutions? Do you stick to them?
I used to make them since it was kind of a tradition, but to be fair, I have never followed through with one in my entire life. Now I just focus on spending time with my friends and family and celebrate the memories from the past year, and look forward to plans that I have for the year to come.
What makes the holidays special for you?
I think the magic in the air is amazing. There is just this cozy and warm feeling in the air (not really, it is freezing cold, but you get it!). I think this is one time of the year where people are really thinking about others, and that makes me so happy. I love having my family together, and as an adult, I don’t get to see them that often. Family is always the most important thing to me.
I tag all of you to do this! Be sure to leave me a link down below in the comments so I can read your answers too!
