A little over a year ago I chopped all of my hair off. Trust me, I woke up the next day freaking out over what I had done the day before. Ever since that day, I have been trying to take much better care of my hair than I did before I cut it all off. I have been on a wild hunt for a great shampoo and conditioner that actually helps my hair instead of stripping it. I was recentley contacted by a company to try the new Garnier Whole Blends Honey Treasures shampoo and conditioner. After multiple uses, I think I have finally made my decision, so find out what I thought of them.
Let me update you really quickly on my hair…it is super thick, super curly, and it breaks pretty easily. I have always had an issue with breakage as well as just general dryness from my actual hair texture. The main point of this duo is to strengthen and heal damage. Um, hello, sign a girl up! I think we are all familiar with Garnier Fructis. I know that I have definitely been using their products since as long as I can remember. The Whole Blends line is actually a brand new range of products that feature the Whole Blends promise.
Paraben Free, Fair and Sustainable ingredients that benefit local farmers and communities. Bottles are made with recycled products. Produced in an ec0-friendly plant that is focused on reducing waste as well as recycling its water. Also involved with TerraCycle which is an organization towards keeping beauty products out of landfills
What I really love about this product in particular is that it contains royal jelly which is known in the beauty industry to really help with moisturizing whatever you put it on. This product also has Propolis extract which also comes from bees in case you don’t know. Bees actually use this substance to fix their bee hives, so why wouldn’t we use it to fix our hair?
I wash my hair about twice a week, but way more since it is still extremely hot in Tennessee. Over the past few washes, I have noticed a slower rate of breakage from my hair, and I am definitely doing the same things I always do, just switched up the products I used. My hair usually is pretty dull, and I have had so many compliments about how shiny my hair has been, so something must be working!
As for the scent, it really doesn’t smell too much like honey! It is kind of weird. Imagine making a cup of chamomile tea and dropping some honey in it. That is exactly what it smells like, but hey, I like it! It does not create too much lather which makes me feel like it cleanses my hair, but also protects my natural oils. They actually recommend you leave the conditioner on for longer if you can to get as many benefits as there are possible. I have noticed a rather big change in just the texture of my hair, it actually feels smooth and soft for once, plus has a ton of bounce and body!
These products are available at any major retailers, and also online at garnier.com. They also have five other types that are included in this range for everything from smoothing to refreshing, so I am sure that you can find one of these products to suit your needs! Have you guys tried any of these products yet? Let me know down below!
