Hey friends! Long time no see! If you are into beauty or skincare at all, then you have definitely heard of Sunday Riley. This Texas beauty brand has taken the skincare world by storm, but also comes with a pretty hefty price tag as well. While strolling through Sephora the other day, I noticed this gift set that had two of their best selling products in it to try out before the big commitment. So, what did I think of them? Find out!
Sunday Riley is known for having the best ingredients which is why the price tag is higher than your average skincare. After studying chemistry, she opened her brand in 2009. She focuses on grade-A products that are formulated in a way that is actually effective, and not just a nice sound. These products have been all over the internet, and of course, I had to try them. This kit will run you about $85 dollars, but considering that one of these products is almost $100 by itself, I think that it is a pretty great way to try out each item. This kit in particular contains the Good Genes Lactic Acid Treatment and Luna Sleeping Night Oil.
This is a Lactic Acid Treatment, which is actually Sunday Riley’s favorite ingredients. This plumps your skin and exfoliates it naturally. This also helps to push any other treatments you use into your skin.
This product claims to
- Plump Lines
- Reduce the appearance of hyper-pigmentation
- Instantly boosts radiance
To use this product, apply two pumps in the morning, or even after applying Luna at night. Just apply this like a normal moisturizer, but get ready for some great things! I have been using this for a few weeks now, and have seen plumpness in my skin that has been gone for a while. I have had some spots that have cleared up pretty quickly, and am even using less makeup now. In addition to the lactic acid, this also contains licorice for brightening as well as aloe and arnica to soothe.
I have heard so many things about this product, and was beyond excited to try it out. This is a unique product since I have never heard of a sleeping oil, and I am pretty into skincare. This is a trans-retinoic acid ester that includes blue plant botanicals to help your skin.
What this product claims:
- Refresh youthful plumpness
- Reduce appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
- Reduce UV aging
- Reduce pore size
- Promotes clearer/smoother skin
This contains essential oils from blue azulene, which is blue tansy, German chamomile and cape chamomile which are all fantastic for soothing redness and to help with the appearance of an even skintone. The amazing thing about product is that it is kind of fool proof. It applies blue, and once you rub it into your skin enough, it goes sheer. This is a night only treatment, and is not safe for women who are pregnant or nursing (scary!). I love the feeling this oil has on my skin, and love that it is working while I am sleeping. This in conjunction with Good Genes has been an obsession of mine since I have been using it, and once I get through these smaller bottles, this will definitely have to be my new skincare regime.
Have you used these products yet? Have you used any of the other amazing products from Sunday Riley? Let me know your thoughts!
