Hair Care Favorites

Hair Care

Hello once gain my sweet friends! Today, I am talking about some of my favorite hair care products. As a ton of you know, I am in the middle of growing my hair out after a weird life of ombre blonde, dreads, and just normal wear and tear of my hair. The products I am going to talk about are things I use as restorative care and protection. Let’s find out!IMG_9467

I am pretty sure everyone under the sun has heard of It’s a 10. From the hair mask this spray, it is just an all around great company to maintain the integrity of your hair. I am a HUGE fan of the Silk Express version of their popular leave in conditioner. Not only does it protect against frizz and softens your hair, it also is working to strengthen and restore important moisture that your hair needs to grow. Since I have to use coconut oil to keep my hair from going crazy in the shower, I am concerned about build up, and I never experience any sort of build up with this product. It is lightweight, and allows me to have healthy hair, but not give up the bounce that I want to have. Key ingredients of this product are Eri Silk, Mulberry Leaf, and Virgin Palm Oil.

IMG_9468This has been one of my favorite beauty discoveries of all time! We all love primers, and why wouldn’t we love one for our hair? The Paul Mitchell Awapuhi Mirrorsmooth High Gloss Primer perfects the cuticle of your hair, makes it look shiny and healthy, and also controls crazy texture. I have super thick, and extremely curly natural hair, so texture is something I struggle with. This basically creates an outer shell so that your hair is protected from whatever you are putting it through, but giving you the feel that you want. This product is also resistant to humidity, so it protects your hair from going off the deep end, and keeps your hairstyle in place. I love the shine that this product gives my hair, it is something that I get told quite often, and I love a good compliment! Especially about my lion’s mane of hair.

I don’t think I can talk about the Alterna Caviar line enough. This is a Caviar CC Cream for you hair, but unlike a CC for our face, this is a complete correction cream. It is another leave-in product that protects your hair in ten different ways: moisture, shine, smoothness, softness, anti-breakage, heat protection, light hold, UV protection, manageability, and strength. This is similar to the Paul Mitchell product in that this is marketed as a primer. This doesn’t leave any residue, and I personally have never experienced any sort of build up. I am pretty lazy with routines, and if I don’t have any time, this is the one thing that I am going to reach for. This has won some awards from Allure in past years, so you know it is at least worth trying! So you know, the caviar helps with smoothness and shine enhancement! Bring on the shine!

Gosh, this stuff is wonderful. This is a situation where I definitely saved the best for last. If you take nothing else away from this post, at least try this sometime! It sounds partially crazy, but this is an Anti-Aging Overnight Treatment for your hair. This product is crazy perfect. Basically, you put this into your hair when you go to sleep, and it does its magic! There is no residue on your hair or bed, so don’t worry about it getting messy. You don’t use that much! Instead of worrying about shine and heat protection, this focuses right on just the overall health. Reversing damage, reinforcing hair, and protection from future breakage. I have been using this for about three months now, and I can assure you that this has changed my hair. It is full of volume, growing pretty rapidly (finally!), and I have significantly less breakage than I had going on previously. It is never too late to start protecting your hair, so give this a whirl!

Alright, I gave you my secrets! These are products that go above and beyond the call of duty, and give you the hair that you have always wanted. I really hope that you give some of these a try! Do you have any hair care products that you love? Let me know down below!
