Capsule Wardrobing around the world

What is up my lovely friends! As always, thanks for reading. Seriously means a lot! I brought this up in a couple of blogs in the past, but I am going to Europe in like a month and a half. Scary! I will go ahead and tell you, flights from here to London are not cheap, painful, might be a better word. I am doing the unthinkable…going to Europe in a carry on. I am definitely going to be talking about that process in a post, because IT WILL BE FUNNY. I am a notorious overpacker…but a good one! That makes no sense, but I only overpack things I actually need…like that makes any more sense. Flying regulations across oceans is a lot different than flying across a state line. I will get into all of that boring stuff at a later date.

So, I have been doing a lot of thinking about what I am going to bring. I know that the way we dress here is basically crazy to people in other countries. Which…I do not blame them. Sometimes when I go to the grocery store, I am even embarrassed to be in the produce aisle next to someone. I am definitely trying to pack things that I will wear, and things that make sense. In that sense, let us briefly talk about capsule wardrobing.

Capsule wardrobes are all the rage right now. They are nothing new, my grandmother has been doing this for about 325892 years. Just kidding, 10000000000 years. Basically, it is a number of clothing pieces, I have heard everywhere between 5 and 40 pieces, but I assume you can do whatever you want. This is America y’all. If I can wear my hot dog print pajama pants to Target to buy paper towels, you can have 45 pieces in your capsule wardrobe. Live your life girl!

My IDEAL capsule wardrobe is a really solid neutral collection. Am I basing this off of my upcoming venture to the other side of the pond. I love dark bottoms, and white tops or lighter tops are always something I am drawn to. So let us hop into my EUROPE CAPSULE WARDROBE #goals y’all.

Madewell Parcel Cotton-Blend Trench/Madewell ‘High Riser’ Ankle Skinny Jeans

Madewell Lisbon Striped Hemp and Cotton Top/Vans SK8 Hi-Slim

Jack Rogers Whipstiched Sandals/Structured Bardot Top

Madewell Cotton-Chambray Shirt/Rebecca Minkoff ‘Mini Mac’

That is my “asthetic” (cringe) for Europe, and things I am definitely looking forward to adding to my wardrobe. Some of these things I already own, but they are definitely something I will be wearing on my trip. What are your “capsule wardrobe” must haves? Let me know down below, or send me links!
