Hello Friends! As we all know, I have been on a pretty serious skincare kick this year. No matter if it is finding my perfect cleanser, or my favorite moisturizer. I was given the chance through Brandbacker to try the Valentia Pure Glow Brightening Moisturizer. So, what are my thoughts/feelings? Find out after the break!
Valentia is a brand that I never heard of before this chance, so it definitely was risky for me to try. While I don’t have extremely sensitive skin, sometimes things just do not work at all. One of my new year’s resolutions was to try out different brands and really find something that makes a difference in my skin, and one that I could actually see! What I love about this brand is that it is cruelty free! It is also made with natural products, and is free of toxins and parabens. The company focuses on preventing sun damage, wrinkles, and restoring skins protective barriers.
First off, let’s talk about what this product promises. This states to be able to lighten dark spots, restores radiance, even skin tone, diminishes fine lines, and provide hydration all day long. It also claims to illuminate your skin. Helping my highlighter out? Okay!
I think ingredients are more important than what something promises to do. If something has an ingredient you are allergic to, it will never work. Also, if you can’t pronounce ingredients, why would you want to wear that all day or night?
- Botanical Hyaluronic Acid: Helps with skin elasticity, secure moisture, and plump skin from within.
- Kojic Acid: Lightens the skin, helps to control melanin production to eliminate and prevent the appearance of dark spots.
- Ginseng: Helps to firm skin, fights wrinkles, helps to brighten and energize the appearance of skin.
- Salflower Oil: Helps to repair the natural moisture barrier provided by our skin
- Shea Butter: Known for being an amazing moistureizer
I have noticed a plumpness of my skin that was not there before. While I am not ancient, I do really care about the appearance of my skin. I spent a long time of my life in the sun, and I don’t see myself staying in doors for the rest of time. If I can use something that will repair as well as prevent future damage, I think it is required that I use it. The product itself has a very fair smell, you won’t be having any perfumes blocking your pores. It absorbs super easily, and has a great consistency. I use it day and night after I cleanse and apply my serum (that’s a future review!). You get 4oz in a bottle (with a pump!) for $25 dollars too! Hopefully you found this helpful, and if you have any more questions, let me know down below!
