Winter has consistently been difficult on my skin. I cannot get away without having breakouts or dry and patchy skin. After using Luna from Sunday Riley, I became more interested in face oils. Being a big fan of the brand anyway, I decided to take the plunge and splurge on the Juno Hydroactive Cellular Face Oil. Is it worth the money? Find out more.
Sitting at about $90 a bottle, this stuff is definitely nothing to purchase without some research and real thinking. One thing I love about Sunday Riley is that she is not only the owner of the brand, but also a cosmetic chemist who researches and develops her own products with things that actually benefit your skin, I mean, who can’t back a girl boss, right? Another thing I love about her products is that she uses ingredients that you can recognize and even pronounce! Back to Juno….
This states to be an “enhancing, transformative, lipid serum”. It uses naturally occurring retinol and a blend of essential oils to as the company says, “give obsession-worthy” hydration to the skin. A great thing that Sunday Riley does is she cold-presses these superfood oils to get the most out of every ingredient. Using antioxidants, vitamins, amino acids, omega 3, 6, and 9, UV shields, and anti-inflammatory agents, this creates extreme hydration, and brilliant luminescence. She even threw in some Vitamin A and C to help brighten, as well as increase the collagen production of your skin.
You get seven superfood seed oils that really create the magic of this product. Blackberry Oil is a great source of Vitamin C that helps rejuvinate your skin. Blueberry seed oil helps to protect your skin from premature aging thanks to its extreme level of antioxidants.. Cranberry seed oil is packed full of essential properties your skin needs. This is a great addition to any skincare routine because it can help with UV protection. Red Raspberry seed oil is great for reducing redness in the skin, and helps with eczema as well. Black cumin seed oil helps to fight aging and skin irritation. Wild carrot seed oil improves the elasticity of your skin, and can help with skin tone as well. Broccoli seed oil also helps with UV protection.
I love this oil because it actually sinks into my skin. I don’t feel like I am wearing an oil slick on my face, and I feel like the ingredients are helping me instead of hurting me. I use a few drops whenever I wash my face, and let it absorb before applying any more products to it. Plus, how beautiful is this packaging? I have it on my shelf in my bathroom just because I love how it looks, and for it being a splurge, I am so happy to have it work as well. I have noticed a brightness to my skin, a plumpness that I had been missing, and even less need for makeup overall.
