I think it is pretty obvious that I am forever on my hunt for the perfect haircare line. I have pretty difficult hair to deal with, and it just seems like my hair gets use to things quickly, and I never really get the lasting effects of the product. I recently received the L’Oreal EVERFRESH haircare line in the mail, and I have spent some time testing it out. Is it too good to be true? Find out more…

Let’s go ahead and get this out of the way, these products are all 100% Sulfate-free, Paraben-free, no harsh salts, and is 100% vegan as well. This formula is also not tested on animals.

This set comes with three different products which includes the EVERFRESH micro-exfoliating scrub rinse out treatment. I personally had never heard of an exfoliating scrub for your scalp, but hey, I love exfoliants for my face and body! This stuff is pretty funky! If you have ever used the St. Ives scrub, then this will have a familiar smell to that product. There is a tinge of a fragrance that reflects the scent of the rest of the line, but this thing is stacked with apricot seeds which act as the exfoliating part of the product. This is meant to fight the existing build up and to prevent future build up from dirty and dandruff so your hair is clean and light.

After using this, I honestly saw ….let us just call it build up… going down my shower drain, so it actually does get to the scalp and does help to clean it up. My scalp felt tingly, almost like I had used some sort of tea tree treatment on it. So, with that being said, there is not a tingly sensation that is painful or uncomfortable, but it just feels extremely clean, which I don’t think anyone is really complaining about!

Next up is the EVERFRESH Antidandruff Shampoo. This is a really unique shampoo in that it has 1% pyrithione zinc that helps to restore balance and to fight dandruff and any symptoms that it causes. This has this really great lilac herbal scent, and reminds me a lot of salon scented products, which I have always loved. Upon using this, there is something odd that happened. After washing the shampoo out of my hair, it felt extremely sandy. I have had other people use this product and they experienced the same thing. While it did not damage my hair and everything was fine after the conditioner was applied.

I have seen less dandruff, and less scalp irritation with using this, which was something I had a very mild concern with, but it is always nice to eliminate a problem before it actually becomes one. Plus, this time of year causes dryness in everyone I am pretty sure, so let’s fix it now! This has the same feeling on the scalp as the exfoliating scrub does. It just feels deep cleaned and healthy.

Finally, we have the EVERFRESH Balancing Conditioner which is a lifesaver! This is completely perfect with the shampoo, and really restores the moisture that the shampoo may have cleared out. It has the same scent as the shampoo, so you get to have that lingering scent. This has a very thick texture, and just makes my hair feel absolutely amazing. It actually reminds me a lot of buttercream icing, but just for your hair!

With my naturally curly hair, this system made my hair very manageable and had a great shine to it. I usually have a problem with my hair getting weighed down after a few days, but my hair still had life and volume when it was time to clean my hair again which I am definitely not used to.
