Get that summer glow

FHF Sundae Best(11)

We all know that being tan in summer is basically a summer essential. Something people seem to forget is that tanning causes some pretty serious skin problems. The world of self tanning has been a rough one to say the least. I remember when I was younger, you knew if someone was self tanning because they were three shades of orange, haha. Thankfully, self tanning has grown miles, and we have products that allow us to have this amazing color, but also while keeping us safe and healthy. I have three products that I personally love, so let’s go!

I am not sure this is even sold in stores anymore, but this has been a long time staple of mine. When I was still a wee baby, this was the first bronzer I ever ventured with. Not this one exactly, haha. This is not a crazy bronzer, just kind of a hint of color. On my fair skin it has always worked wonders. This particular type comes with a scent that is coconut water and vanilla, so you don’t have to worry about that gross self tanner smell. This also contains aloe vera and antioxidant vitamin e to help keep your skin in the best condition. This has a slight shimmer to it, so keep that in mind, but it is not noticeable at all. This came in three different versions at one point, but this is the only one I ever tried.

This is a scary product haha, it took me years to get this thing right. Basically, this is leg makeup. While it has quite a bit of shimmer in it, it does have some good coverage, and comes in a variety of shades to get the perfect tan for your skintone. Although this is a spray on formula, I always spray it in my hands and apply it that way. It makes it much easier to apply, and gives you more control over where the actual product is going. This comes off with soap and water, but is water resistant. I usually just use this for a night out or special event where I need some extra color.

This is the daddy of the self tanners. This is the dark version of the original St. Tropez. Like traditional self tanners, you apply this, wait a few hours, wash it off, and it fades away naturally.I absolutely love the color that I get from this product, and it is a night and day difference. This contains Vegetan Premium which is supposed to give each skin tone the darkest possible color. This also contains aloe vera to hydrate as well as give you the color you are going for. Apricot kernel oil helps to nourish your skin while you wear it too.
